Forbes.com ranks Virginia No. 4 Best State for Business in 2018

Montgomery County, Virginia – On November 28, 2018, Forbes.com released their "Best States for Business 2018" rankings, with Virginia coming in at the number 4 spot.  This brings Virginia up one spot from the 2017 rankings.  Since 2006, Forbes.com has been ranking all 50 states based on their business climates, with Virginia having secured the top spot five times over the years.  

The rankings for "Best States for Business" are based on 41 metrics within six main categories including business costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, economic climate, growth prospects, and quality of life.  Virginia ranked #1 in both the quality of life and regulatory environment categories, and #3 in the labor supply category.
