a non-profit business association of over 1,100 Montgomery County-Blacksburg-Christiansburg based businesses. The Chamber hosts numerous events for its members throughout the year, including its monthly "Business after Hours" networking mixers.

The Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council (RBTC) is a non-profit member-driven association of businesses and organizations in the greater , working together to promote the growth and success of the region's technology sector. Its membership includes more than 200 organizations from the smallest,
emerging technology firms to some of the largest employers in the region. The RBTC is building a technology community that is a catalyst for innovation, inspiration, success, and leadership within our region.

Up on The Roof
- Blacksburg's Premier Creative Professional's mixer. This event is designed to bring fun locals, grad students and professionals from the New River Valley together
for the purposes of socializing and networking. Up on the Roof meets on the last Thursday of every month - April through October - from 5:30-7:30 pm on the rooftop of the Kent Square parking lot in downtown Blacksburg. Food and
beer are free to all who attend but donations are always welcomed.
The Montgomery County Department of Economic Development (MCDED) offers a number of free and confidential services and resources to help companies large and small.
