CCS and Harmonia among fastest growing companies in America

The Montgomery County based companies were
recently named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list.

Montgomery County, Virginia - According to Inc. Magazine, Montgomery County is home to two of the fastest growing companies in America.  CCS and Harmonia were recently named to the magazine's 2013 Inc. 5000 list, a ranking of the top 5,000 companies in the nation based on revenue growth.  It is the fifth consecutive year that Harmonia has been recognized as an Inc. 5000 company; the first for CCS.

The Inc. 5000 list has grown into a symbol of entrepreneurial success.  "In their fields, the companies on the Inc. 5000 are champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy," said Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.

Software company Harmonia ranked 1,446 overall and 87 in Virginia with a three-year growth rate of 278 percent and $8.1 million in revenue.  The company, headquartered in Blacksburg, provides software services in cross-platform optimization and collaboration, advanced data analytics and visualization, and large data handling for federal government and large companies.

CCS, a computer hardware company in Christiansburg, ranked 4,959 overall with a three-year growth rate of 36 percent and $37.7 million in revenue.  The company provides turnkey computing solutions for harsh environments and mission-critical applications for a variety of industries.  Within the computer hardware industry, CCS ranked 43 in the country.

CCS and Harmonia aren’t the only companies from Montgomery County to ever make the Inc. 5000 list.  Modea, a digital ad agency in Blacksburg, made the list in 2010 to 2011.  UXB International – a global environmental technology company that specializes in munitions response, demilitarization and weapons removal – was also named an Inc. 5000 in 2011.
