On November 9th, Cobham Sensor Systems held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new 50,000 square-foot engineering and manufacturing facility in the Blacksburg Industrial Park.  (Read More)

MegaBus brings daily routes from Christiansburg to DC and Knoxville (YesMontgomeryVA.org)

Starting on December 15 a new bus service, MegaBus, will begin operating a direct route from Knoxville, TN to Washington, DC along I-81. There will be three (3) trips per day passing through our area with the only stop being at the Falling Branch Park and Ride stop located off of I-81 at exit 118A in Christiansburg.  (Read More)

County proceeds with asbestos removal at old Blacksburg Middle School (YesMontgomeryVA.org)

The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors authorized the Economic Development Department to move forward with asbestos removal from the property as well to proceed with issuing an RFP to solicit bids for the demolition of the two main buildings on the property.  (Read More)
