New River Valley Development Corporation
The New River Valley Development Corporation (NRVDC) was formed in 1983 to serve existing and prospective small businesses located within the New River Valley Planning District Commission. The Planning District is comprised of the counties of Pulaski, Montgomery, Floyd, Giles, and the city of Radford. The NRVDC is a private, non-profit organization organized to assist small businesses by providing financing for the purchase of fixed assets, including land, buildings, machinery and equipment. The Corporation is the point of access for two existing revolving loan funds serving the region. The Western Virginia Revolving Loan Fund has been capitalized by the U.S. Economic Development Administration to provide assistance to manufacturing firms which are expanding their business and the number of their employees. The Corporation also manages the New River Valley Revolving Loan Fund. These funds are directed toward businesses which are developing an association with one of the incubator facilities, the multi-tenant facility, or are eligible for location in one of the facilities.
